About Us
Balkumari College, established on 18th September 1986 ( 2nd Aswin 2043), is affiliated to Tribhuvan University and the college has been awarded with Quality Assurance & Accreditation ( QAA) certification by Quality Assurance & Accreditation Committee of University Grants Commission Nepal on 22nd November 2009 ( 7th Mansir 2066). It has already been recognized as an ISO 9001 certified institution for quality management system ( QMS) in July 2008.
Balkumari College is one of the leading colleges imparting education at the University level in Nepal. The college is involved in various innovative programmes apart from teaching regular University curriculum. These programmes are carefully designed to provide students a clear edge in placement or further education. The college has performed well in all disciplines, curricular, extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
Our target is to further develop Balkumari College as a campus of exccellence and ultimately reach academic autonomy. The College Management Committee and entire college family are well prepared and equipped in planning and promoting need based strategies to face all kinds of challenges & difficulties.

Dear student’s and guardians,
One of the most crucial aspects of human life, in my opinion, is education. Education plays a crucial role in producing broadly accepted social, moral, cultural, and economic values. A well-educated populace can significantly increase the nation’s prosperity. Since a high-quality education is what we must emphasize, Balkumari College has incorporated the ISO 9001:2015 QMS. It is now an institution with ISO certification. Most significantly, the college received QAA certification on November 22, 2009. The management committee has created a new policy and managed enough funds for the college’s general development with a highly qualified and committed team of professors and researchers.
We have been putting follow-up, supervision, and monitoring into practice as important measures. Our main goal is to meet the market’s demands in a variety of disciplines. Balkumari, which is home to about 2500 students, has had success in delivering qualified graduates.

I would like to invite you all to one of our programs. Our faculties are looking forward to giving you their best for your higher education as well as development of skills. Accreditated by UGC Nepal, Balkumari College is a Unique abode of learning with wide provision of courses. Problem based learning is our philosophy of teaching. Learning by action research is major framework of teaching & learning here. Transparency, time management and follow up are issues Balkumari College has decided to stick to. There won’t, at any cost, be a compromise on those issues. Students are the pillars on your responsibility to build it. But for that, you have to build up yourself. Remember that only discipline, hard work and firm determination can ensure your career. If you are hardworking and firmly determined nothing will hinder your way of success.
