Introduction

Balkumari College launched B.Sc. Microbiology Program (T.U. affiliated) in 2064 B.S. as an extension of its science program. The ever-increasing scope of microbiological world necessitates the more of the skilled and competent human resource in the field. BKC has contributed to develop such resource through state-of-the art infrastructure, experienced faculties and practical oriented teaching –learning methodologies.

In 2067 B.S., BKC added another program B.Sc. (Environmental Science) in its wing to meet the emerging need of influx students related to environment. BKC, through this program, aims at arts producing competent and qualified human resources in this field.

Balkumari College, the first in town to launch B.Sc. Microbiology and Environmental Science has an excellent result over the board exam. Several of the ex-students are already in town to handle the profession and many are continuing their higher degrees in several universities in the country and abroad.

The teaching activities are not limited to curriculum. Several awareness programs, field visits, seminars talk programs are conducted periodically to uplift the academic Excellency.

Eligibility Conditions for Admission

The students applying for admission to B.Sc. program must have successfully completed the 10+2 Science program from NEB or I.Sc. (Biology Stream) or equivalent from any other recognized board by Tribhuvan University.
